I’ve never been there before, so I’m way excited. I’m only staying for a couple of days, but I hope I’ll get the time to explore a lot of things anyway.

Today I’m gonna google places to go, and make a to do list for NY.
Have you been there?
Any tips on shops/restaurants/events/museums/whatever is very much appreciated!

Hey lovely!
You definitly need to go to the store in Lower east side – Ludlow street and around this area.
Really nice and new store. My favourite: http://thereformation.com/
And definitly Soho and all the designers stores.
Have a nice trip :)
Mindblowing!!
Du må innom jambajuice for å ta deg en smoothie. NamNam <3
Shop til you drop ;)
The Rogan Store!!! It’s somewhere near Prince Street, Canal Street, or something, and it has the most amaaazing clothes. The people there are really nice too :)
Also, for “dressed up”-hippie-pieces, check out the store Free People.
Some ppl say that Buffalo Exchange has gotten to expensive, but I bought the most amaaazing dress there, like a “french maid”-dress-ish, for 10 bucks there this summer. no shit!
They have an amazing selection of dresses.
have fun!
Du må spise på restauranten Balthazar! (80 Spring Street).
‘Ino (http://www.yelp.com/biz/ino-cafe-and-wine-bar-new-york) in the West Village for delicious paninis! you must. it’s best around mid-afternoon, as the setting sun slants through the windows. lalalove. and then you can wander around the area’s cute stores. Check out Sucre (http://sucrenyc.com/), a magical jewelry spot in that same hood. they have tons of amazing designers in there. if you’ve the time, head to Tokio 7 for great consignment. and No 7 subs (http://www.yelp.com/biz/no-7-sub-new-york), it’s in the Ace Hotel, which in and of itself is an awesome place to visit since there’s an Opening Ceremony inside. also, two of my favorite places to eat in the East Village are Back Forty and Northern Spy Food Company. okay that’s all. so jealous – I just moved out to LA and I miss New York! enjoy it!
have fun lady! i write in my blog pretty infrequently now but here is a link to my nyc tagged posts, i think it will be good for food and shopping at least xx
http://aclappingritual.blogspot.com/search/label/new%20york%20city
Oh cool – you’ll love it! Check out Balthazar’s for delicious Quiche Lorraine, if you’re into that; free Thurs. night contemporary art exhibitions at The New Museum; vintage stuff at Amacord’s on Lafayette… Have fun!!!
Please post the to do list on your blog, or email me, I am going soon!
Beste byen! God tur!
Yeah I live over here!
If you want my list of awesomeness, email me!
There are a few good parties this weekend.
I’d love to give advice to a fellow Freshnet-blogger!

You would love these shops: Resurrection and Tokyo 7.
As for food I can recommend trying vegan and raw places: Caravan of dreams, Quintessence, Souen spring st, Baby cakes, & Pure food & wine if you wanna go real fancy.
I love Beacon’s, crossroads and buffalo exchange. It’s cheap and you can find us brand classics if you do some serious digging.
Otherwise, I only like the hasidic part of Williamsburg, bedford area is not that interesting.
Oh and whole foods is good for products, as well as visiting Kiehl’s and Lush.
That’s it.

I live in NY. Let me know what suggestions you need. I have lots of restaurants and shopping suggestions I coule give you!
RESTAURANTS:
The Standard Inn – The Standard Inn Hotell i Meatpacking District.
Tortilla Flats – Meatpacking District.
Waverly Inn – 16 Bank Street. Posht men hippt ställe.
Asiatisk restaurang.
Macao – 311 Church Street.
Gemma, The Bowery Hotel – 335 East 3d Street.
Fatty Crab – 643 Hudson Street. Cool Sydasiatisk restaurang som är up-coming.
Freemans – End of Freeman Alley. Off Rivington between The Bowery and Chrystie.
Momofuku Ku – 163 First Avenue, Vid 10th Street.
Prune – 54 East, 1st Street. Serverar brunch, lunch och middag.
Murray’s Bagels – 500 Avenue of the Americas. Lovely bagels.
POP Burger – Meatpackning District.
Ideya – 349 West Broadway. Grym latin bistro med bästa mojitos i stan.
Sanctuary T – 337 B, West Broadway.

thks
hey – besøg Grape and Grain, 620 east 6th st between ave B & C: vin- og ølbar, og så dejlig! Virkelig cool.
Håber du får en god tur!
Magnolia Bakery for the red velvet cupcakes! Amazing.
Also, I’ve heard great things about Crumbs cupcakes and mini Cupcakes by Melissa.
Ladurée just opened in NYC, so if you like macarons, it’s the place to go.
I also love OAKNYC there and theres a BookMarc by Marc Jacobs if you want little inexpensive marc jacobs things..
restaurants… SHAKE SHACK.
and if you like Chinese food.. JOE SHANGHAI is the best restaurant ever existing, but there is always a line because it’s packed. All the food is Chinatown is great, but you HAVE to bring cash to buy anything in Chinatown. And if you want the best asian snacks/knickknacks/gifts, Pearl River Mart is GREAT.
If you like Seinfeld, Tom’s Restaurant near Columbia in Morningside Heights is the restaurant shown in the show.
And if you like toys.. you can look at larger-than-life sized stuffed animals and other cool toys at FAO SCHWARZ, although I’m an adult, I still like taking a look around!
Hope this helps! I’m actually going to NYC in 2 weeks!
lucky. have fun!!!
http://jenalyenns.blogspot.com/
i’ve been to new york for the first time a couple of weeks ago and only stayed over for the weekend. make sure you go to the metropolitan museum. it has a nice rooftop garden and a great collection of modern art. also the rockefeller (top of the rock) at night gives you the most beautiful view over the city.
enjoy!
Oh, wow, thank you thank you thank you!! I guess I’m all set now. This looks great!
Snillt! Ser ut som det er mer enn nok å gjøre :D
Nadia: Pleeasure!
Tisti: Hehe, it’s growing fast! And thanks for your tips!
aww, i envy you so much! i spent seven days in NYC this october, and it’s the best place in the world! of museums i’d recommend the met which is so much better than guggenheim, in my opinion. places to eat; there’s a pretty cheap and awesome restaurant in the middle of times square in hotel renaissance. it has the most amazing view of times square and it’s not crowded at all. i think you’re supposed to stay in the hotel to eat there, but they’re pretty large about the whole thing- we got a table without staying there. also “pastis” in the meatpacking district is fantastic! and last, you should take a walk through “high lane” which is an old railroad made to a trail in appartment height, with great views of both hudson river and the meatpacking area. they’ve made all these “chill areas” and outdoor exhibitions on the trail. it’s not in most guide books, but new yorkers come there often. and you should go to williamsburg as well, there’s loads of cool shops and inspiring people!
Shopping: EVERYWHERE! Jeffrey in Meatpacking, countless boutiques in Soho (west of Broadway, south of Prince), Bendel’s on 5th Ave, 5th Ave in general
Food:
Bakeries: Dominique Ansel Bakery (just opened, delicious!) in Soho, Balthazar Bakery (Soho)
Bagels: Murray’s Bagels (West Village, Chelsea)
Restaurants: too many recommendations
Museums: Sephora Sensorium — Fragrance Pop Up Museum/Experience,
Classics: Museum of Modern Art (Midtown), The Metropolitan Museum of Art (Upper East Side)
I could go on… I love this city.
waow! have lots of fun girl:) I bet it’s going to be mindblowing.. I’ve never been to new york myself.. so sorry! don’t know any good places to go.
trust me, you are going to love nyc!
best place on earth
yeah. beacons closet is definitely a hang out! and the brookly brewery, the boom boom room at the standard hotel, oh there is so much more. btw. love your style. the personality you “wear”.
love
her er link: http://www.lamasserianyc.com/
Her er link: http://printrestaurant.com/
wow, you’re hair is so long! (or is that an old pic?)
but back to ny, oh yes i’ve been there and it’s magical! i recommend at least Jin, a great Japanese restaurant/sushi place on Broome street (they have a happy hour every day from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., hit 3 bucks on the table and you’ll get your tummy full, hit 6 and you’ll be stuffed, gotta love that :)) ! Also anything you’ll see on Spring street (Soho) is great, there’s a cozy atmosphere, cute bars and restaurants plus hip crowds :)
for shopping, you should just stroll around soho, noho, lower east side and east village. you’ll find anything you need there. :) at least i did :) a great combination of vintage shops and a designer heaven (wang, isabel marant, acne, opening ceremony etc….)
that’s for starters at least! :) have an awesome trip!
Haha, kunne fortsatt i evigheter egentlig.. New York er beste byen!!!!
Lol – fed T-shirt!!
you should definitely eat brunch at Balthazar’s in Soho, and go to the MoMA if you’re looking for a great museum! As for shopping, go to Blue & Cream in the Bowery, the Stella McCartney store in the Meatpacking district, and the Lower East side for thrift stores and vintage. Have fun!!
Älskar staden.
Favorit restauranger:
- Freemans (Lower East Side.
Brunch:
- Five Leaves (Greenpoint/Williamsburg, Brooklyn)
- Schillers (Lower East Side, Rivington st)
- Gafé Gitane (Nolita)
- The Bedford (Bedford sve, Brooklyn), god mimosa och breakfast.
Barer:
- Manhattan Inn (Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Manhattan avenue. Min favorit)
- Trophy Bar (Williamsburg)
Shopping:
- Opening Ceremony (Soho) ett måste! :)
- Sephora, Barneys etc
- Brooklyn Flea
Museum:
- MOMA
- Met
- PS1 (MOMA’s lillasyster ligger i Queens)
- Små gallerier i Brooklyn
Safe trip!

By night! Hehe :D
Oh New York… I haven’t been there yet, but it’s on top of my “cities to visit”-list. I wish you a great trip!
I’ve been to NYC a few times and you’re definitely gonna love it there!
Generally, wandering around SoHo is really interesting. Alle the shops and restaurants around Lafayette st. and Bowery are really understated cool. I can especially recommend Gemma Restaurant at the Bowery Hotel!
Hope you’ll have a great trip :)
Å gud va kul!! Jobb eller pleasure?
